across a meeting of So.East Audi TT owners in Highlands NC last year. A very 'upscale' group of affluent professionals from all around the south. The wife and I were at a little reception for lodge guests, and the crowd just 'assumed' we were part of 'them'. (hey, I can look upscale and professional) Since I knew NOTHING about the cars, I asked a lot of questions, and of course learned TT to them does not mean the same thing it does to us. And they have 'tiny' motors, etc. Finally one of them asked me which car was mine (we were on a porch) and I pointed across the lot at the Z and said 'the old Nissan over there' and smiled. He said 'oh' kind of quietly, and I asked if they wanted to run to Dillard with me the next day since they would be out 'touring'. He smiled and said 'I know you can outrun me, and may even outhandle me.........' At least he was honest.
